Trupointe to Offer Propane Services in North Part of Service Territory |
|
WAPAKONETA, OHIO (April 12, 2010) – Trupointe Cooperative, Inc., the newly-formed agriculture cooperative, will begin to offer propane delivery services in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Mercer and Shelby counties.
The area is currently served by Advanced Agri-Solutions, which will begin operations as Trupointe after a consolidation with Southwest Landmark, Inc. of Xenia was approved in February. The new entity will begin formal operations on Sept 1, 2010.
“It’s great we will be able to offer a new service to customers in our territory,” said Larry Tangeman, Petroleum Manager for Advanced Agri-Solutions. “The strength of Southwest Landmark’s propane program was one of the things we felt could add value for customers in the Advanced Agri-Solutions area from the beginning of our consolidation talks, and we are pleased this is now an attractive option for our customers and rural residents.”
Trupointe’s energy services will develop the propane operation from the Kettlersville Petroleum office under the leadership of Max Martin, Propane Manager, who has been with Southwest Landmark’s energy division for 9 years. Uniopolis will serve as the storage location for this segment of the business.
“We are ready to start setting tanks and delivering propane in the area with our Southwest Landmark equipment prior to transitioning to Trupointe Sept. 1,” said Martin. “We will start by talking with existing customers of Advanced Agri-Solutions, as well as others who are interested.”
Trupointe will operate a total of 45 branch facilities in 26 Ohio counties and three Indiana counties, most of which are focused on providing agricultural supplies and service to farmer members and customers.
